We compare 95 K-pop and global artists selected by Seoulovation, not every artist. We count views across their linked Wikipedia editions. Views can reflect releases, news or controversies; they do not measure listening, purchases or votes.
Detailed formula
Volume: √(views / observed maximum) × 50. Spread: entropy of language view shares / observed maximum entropy × 30. Consistency: lowest weekly views / mean weekly views across 13 weeks × 20. Rounded to one decimal. Ties use total views, then English name.

Artists are compared by weeks in the KOPIS TOP 10 over the same 13 weeks.
- Included shows
- Weekly popular-music TOP 10. Multi-artist shows, festivals and unidentified artists are excluded.
- Once per week
- When several shows chart, only the artist’s highest-ranked show counts that week.
- Ranking order
- More charted weeks rank first. Ties use average rank in charted weeks, best rank, then English name. Lower rank numbers come first.
This measures sustained chart presence, not ticket sales, revenue or fan counts.
